Hi Mrs. Phillips I just finished reading Clementine's Letter. It was about Clementine and her teacher Mr. D'Matz. Mr. D'Matz was nominated by the principal to go to Egypt for an archaeological dig contest. If Mr. D'Matz won the contest he would stay in Egypt for a year. Clementine was very up set that her teacher was leaving. She said that they were just becoming in sync, but now he is leaving for the contest. Clementine felt that her teacher was not keeping his promise, because he said that he would always be their teacher.
There was a new teacher, Mrs. Nagel and Clementine did not like her rules. Mrs. Nagel ask the class to write Mr. D'Matz a lucky letter and Clementine wrote a funny letter about Mr. D'Matz not wanting to go to Egypt instead of a lucky letter.
This book was so funny. The teacher won the contest, but instead of him going to Egypt he stayed with his class.
Hi Tiarra, That was quite a big decision of Mr.D'Matz to not go to Egypt. Was the whole class as happy as Clementine that he didn't leave? Do you think that her letter had anything to do with him not going? I love you notes! You're such a great reader and writer. Thanks for all the interesting things that you add to this blog.
