Dear Mrs. Phillips, I am still reading "Attack of the Amazons". My favorite part so far is when the sleepers save a girl from being burned alive by the enemies! I know this can be a trap of the Dark Lord or some of his demon commanders! But the sleepers are being cautious of the girl. The girl says she is a princess from Fedor, a country in Nun World's jungle. I really love the book I can't wait to read more.
P.S. Please read and write back my two other comments [thank you].
Hi Patrick! So what number in the series is the "Attack of the Amazons"? Has it made it more or less interesting for you being that you know the how the series ends? I was just reading a book and had to put it down for a while because there were too many enemies trying to get the girl in my story. I don't like books with too much violence, so I'll have to see if I go back to it. I'm very glad that you're enjoying the seven sleepers, are you planning on reading them all? Backwards?
The "Attack of the Amazons" sounds like a pretty exciting book. It's what people sometimes refer to as "a real page turner," meaning that you can't wait to turn the page to see what happens next.
I'm so glad that you enjoy reading. A book can take you to many magical places.
Hi Mrs. Phillips - I am still reading "Attack of The Amazons".I really like the book! The "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" play had a couple of changes from the book and the movie but I liked it because it was different.I just think it's cool the the Taubls got the main parts and, at the end Jeremiah gives the factory to his brother James.I hope you liked it to?
Hi Pat, Which number in the series is The Attack of the Amazons?" What is it about the book that you like the best so far? I'm glad that you like the play. I enjoyed it too. They all did a great job. I'm not surprised to hear that you want to be in the play, you seem to have such a great time reading out loud. I will look forward to seeing you on the CHS stage some day! Love, Mrs. Phillips
Dear Pat and 4th Grade Readers - When I was your age, I read the Little House on the Prairie Books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. These books are works of fiction about Ms. Ingalls, although they are based on her real life experiences in the Midwest during the late 1800's. Laura moved many times and lived many places: Wisconsin, Kansas (In the Indian Territory), Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota and finally Missouri! Everywhere Ms. Ingalls went she faced many hardships and lots of harsh weather. There are 8 books in the series and I loved them all. Have any of you read these books? I am hoping Patrick, that you will read them. Are the AR books Mrs. Phillips? Love, Mrs. McAleavey
Hi Mrs. Phillips I just started "Escape from the Dream Maker". It is not that interesting yet because it just explained the sleepers names and characteristics. I never really liked beginnings of stories.Do you? See you tomorrow!
I am still reading "Escape from the Dream Maker". The Seven Sleepers have to go on a mission in a place called Acton because people have been disappearing. The Sleepers also are being chased by the Dark Lord's vicious demons. That's all I read for now. I can't wait to read more!
Sometimes you have to continue reading even if a book at first doesn't seem as though it will be very interesting. It often takes an author a couple of chapters to explain where the story takes place and how the characters think and feel about things. Readers really need some background to be able to understand and enjoy a book. I'm glad you stuck with "Escape from the Dream Maker" until it could capture your attention and imagination. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story. Love, Nana
Dear Mrs. Phillips- I am so interested in what's going to happen next in my book. I wonder if Josh and the Sleepers are going to choose to stay in Nun World or go back to Old world? Half the sleepers want to stay and half want to go and leave Goel. I would stay would you stay?
Escape from the Dream Maker sounds like a really exciting book. Next time we see each other you'll have to tell me the plot and how it ends. I just finished reading The Hobbit to Kaleigh and William - have you read it? The movie is coming out this year and it looks like its going to be awesome. Anyway, keep up the reading!
Dear Mrs. Phillips - I just finished Escape Of The Dream Maker. It was a very fun book to read. It was cool how a different sleeper went in to their friends dreams to save them. I can't wait to start the next Seven Sleepers book because they are so interesting and different. I think this is my favorite series yet!
Dear Patrick, I'm finally back. I have missed talking to you about books. Are you reading the next book back in the series? I'm surprised that it is as enjoyable to read the series backwards as it is going forward. I think that I might try to read the series this summer. Have you read any of the Hardy Boys books? It seems that lots of the boys in the class are reading them. Thanks for keeping with the blog. Love, Mrs. Phillips
I finished Escape with the Dream Maker and it was an amazing book. It took me a long time to read it though!I am now reading The Voyage Of The Dolphin. I really like the book and no, I am not reading any Hardy Boys books right now. I'm going to have to start another one. Talk to you soon!
Hi Mrs. Phillips!!!!!!!! Sorry I could not get on lately. I read the book "Back to the Titanic". It was about kids named Matt,Emily, and John. They were going to see their great-grandfather who was on the Titanic and has memories that can't keep his brain straight. He is a inventor and he never lets the kids touch anything he makes. He thinking that he can save the Titanic by one machine-a time machine. The kids want to make his dream come true. They travel back in time but can not save the Titanic. When they came back they told him the story of there adventure. Their great -grandfather did not believe him and had never told his grandchildren what he looked liked as a boy. Matt showed him prove that they went by telling him he had red hair when he was a boy because he had seen him. Then they said they are never going back again.
HI Kate! Good to see you here again. I'm glad to hear that you've been reading good things. Were the kids scared when they traveled back in time? Why did they say that they'd never go back? Do you think that you would have gone back in time? It was dissapointing that they couldn't save the ship, imagine how cool it would have been if they could have saved it! Happy Reading! Love, Mrs. Phillips :)
I am really liking my book. It is cool how the Sleepers are on vacation and get called out to do something crazy. (Even on vacation!)I hope they are safe from the boat crash. I also think it was amazing how Captain Day Bright saved Dawn because she can't swim. I will read more later. Bye for now.
Hi Pat, Are you regretting reading the series out of order yet? Is it all making sense to you? The Seven Sleepers must be really good at what they do if they even get called out while they're on vacation. Did you read the City of Ember series? Are the Seven Sleepers books at all like the City of Ember books? Happy Reading! Love, Mrs. Phillips
